Wilton Armetale turned to a 17th century Parisian silversmith, Pierre Prevost, for the inspiration for the William & Mary™ series. In 1670 Mr. Prevost designed and produced a silver with gold gilt floral design that he combined with the coat-of-arms of William III and Queen Mary to grace a collection of personal care items for the Queen.
